Yes. Every retrieval checks the asking user's Google Docs permissions before including a document in the answer. If a user can't see the file in Google Docs, they won't see it in an answer either. Permission changes propagate on next sync (typically < 5 min).
Docs, sheets, slides, PDFs, plain text, and markdown are extracted natively. Images and audio can be transcribed on request. Binary files (zips, executables) are skipped. Full type list is configurable per source.
