Support-ticket cost calculator
Estimate how much your team spends on repetitive support tickets, and what a 30% AI deflection rate would return. Client-side only — nothing is saved or shared.
Your numbers
Total tickets your team handles across all channels.
Include agent time, tooling, and overhead. Industry median for tier-1 is ~$15.
Share of tickets resolved by AI without human handoff. 20-40% is typical for a well-tuned setup with docs, form deflector, and helpdesk copilot.

How this is calculated
Deflected tickets = monthly tickets × deflection rate. Each deflected ticket saves your fully-loaded cost per ticket. Annual savings are simply monthly savings × 12. Net annual savings subtracts BeforeQuery Pro at $99/month ($1,188/year), and ROI is (net savings ÷ platform cost) × 100. Payback is how many days of savings recoup the annual platform spend.
Where the deflection number comes from
20-40% deflection is what teams with a well-tuned AI setup typically see: a form deflector (answering before the ticket is submitted), a widget on the docs (answering before support is even considered), and helpdesk copilot / auto-resolution inside Zendesk / Freshdesk / Front / Intercom / Jira SM / Linear / Salesforce. Deflection higher than 50% is possible for products with excellent docs coverage; below 15% usually means the underlying docs need work, not that the AI is failing.
What this doesn't count
This model deliberately ignores: (a) the value of faster first-response times for non-deflected tickets, (b) reduced churn from happier customers, (c) the compounding effect of gap analytics telling you which docs to write next, and (d) the savings from copilot drafts on the tickets that do reach an agent. All of these are real and non-trivial; none are back-of-envelope material.
