Bring SharePoint knowledge into your AI assistant
What is SharePoint?
SharePoint is Microsoft's enterprise content management and collaboration platform, embedded in Microsoft 365. Large organizations use SharePoint to host intranet sites, document libraries, and team portals — making it one of the richest enterprise knowledge sources available.
How BeforeQuery works with SharePoint
Everything you can do once the integration is connected.
Microsoft 365 and on-premises support
BeforeQuery connects to SharePoint Online via Microsoft Graph API and to on-premises SharePoint deployments via the SharePoint REST API.
Site and library indexing
Select specific SharePoint sites, document libraries, and page libraries. BeforeQuery indexes the content of pages and Office documents with text content.
Azure AD integration
Authenticate with SharePoint using Azure Active Directory app registration — no user credentials required for the integration.
Restricted visibility
SharePoint content indexed in BeforeQuery can be scoped to the employee portal only, ensuring internal content never appears in customer-facing chat.
How to set it up
Register a BeforeQuery app in your Azure Active Directory tenant with the required Microsoft Graph permissions.
In BeforeQuery, add a SharePoint source and provide the tenant ID, client ID, and client secret from the Azure app registration.
Select the sites and libraries to index and configure a sync schedule.
